Records
Each record in ABES displays a range of information about the work covered.
Annotation - the annotation is written by a specialist in the relevant field.
Full Bibliographic Information - key information on title and author appears above the annotation. Other bibliographic details such as publisher details and information that does not apply to all records (such as volume/issue number or series title) appear below the annotation and keywords.
Keywords - these are selected by the author of the annotation. Clicking on any keyword will take you to a list of all records covered by that keyword.
Go to Source - where possible, this will take you to the work covered (access restrictions may apply).
Subject Date Range - the specific period covered by the record in question.
Record Published - the date the record went live on ABES. Records with the date 01/01/2005 were originally published in the previous version of ABES.
Contributor - the author of the annotation (name links to their details).
Previous/Next Record/Back to Search Results - the options at the top right of the record take you to the full record screen for the next or previous record in your list of search results, or return you to the list.
